A new chapter for the Long Yang Club - Melbourne
The following are changes being made to the operation of the Long Yang Club - Melbourne (LYC - M) effective 28th January
2007. As I, Jonathan will step down as the convenor as my career takes me to Sydney. 4 co-convenors will now share the duty of running the LYC - M:
Bill - Contact Person
Heath - Treasurer
Eric - Administration/ Advertising
Ben - Web Master/Advertising Support
The core values of LYC - M and the way it operates will remain the same however there are some new changes that will be implemented in the hopes of improving the way social/ support group
runs:
- A designated date for monthly LYC - M events will be put in the practise to provide suitability and consistency for members attending and planning for upcoming events.
- Popular activities such as Yum Cha/ Pot Luck nights will be nominated events on alternative months unless other activities are favoured.
- A calendar on the LYC - M website will display all the upcoming events as well as a suggestions page for prospective activities and ideas.
- Co-convenors will meet earlier during monthly events to discuss the running of LYC - M, future events and other issues involving the group.
Members of LYC - M who are interested in becoming more involved with the running of the group need only express their interest to the co-convenors and as always, you'll be welcome to
approach.
Also any members who would be happy to host any of the events such as Pot Luck nights at their venue are also welcome and would be very much appreciated.
Lastly, thank you for everyone who has made LYC - M what is it today, it has been a pleasure running the group and I'm sure that the co-convenors will endeavour to maintain and better the group
into the future. I hope you'll find these changes as beneficial to LYC - M as I do. I wish the group and its members all the best and who knows, I might be in town to attend the next event!
