Boating on the River

Sunday, 18th April 2010

The Lane Cove National Park is a stunning national park located within metropolitan Sydney. There are many picnic areas interspersed in forest along the banks of the picturesque Lane Cove River. A weir near Fuller's Bridge converts the middle section of the river from tidal salt-water to a fresh-water area with constant water level suitable for rowing and canoeing. Bring a picnic lunch and meet at 11.00am at the Lane Cove Boatshed, 500m from the Delhi Road entrance to the Park, where we can hire rowboats, kayaks, canoes and pedal boats.
